Diablo IV is a 2023 online-only action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the fourth main instalment in the Diablo series.
In this game, players will embark on a dark and epic journey through a vast open world filled with ceaseless demons to slaughter, nightmarish dungeons to explore, and legendary loot to discover.
So, how is it anything like Medium?
Whilst Medium is NOT a game, it is to some an entertainment source, to others, the creatives, it can be a means of making an income.
Here are some key features of Diablo IV:
Classes: Players can choose from a variety of classes, each with unique abilities and playstyles. The classes include Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid, with more classes expected to be added in future updates.
This is much like choosing your niche, what you will write about, and what feels will work best. Does your niche have the special growth powers, the ability to stand out from others of a similar ilk?
Open World: The game offers a vast and immersive open world where players can freely explore diverse environments, from sprawling cities to desolate wilderness. The world is filled with dynamic events, quests, and challenges.
The Medium World, is also massively diverse, a place you can explore to your heart’s content. As a reader or writer, there can be content to inspire but also, for creators, many challenges…will The Dread Algorithm knock you down or enhance your XP (experience points)?
Chilling Mechanic: Diablo IV introduces a new Chilling mechanic, where players can control and dominate enemies by dealing Cold damage. The more Cold damage you deal, the more foes will be slowed or frozen, giving you a strategic advantage in combat.
Whilst Medium does not offer a means to freeze out the competition, if you excel at what you do that will be automatic!

Customization: Players can customize their characters with a wide range of gear, weapons, and skills. Experiment with different builds and playstyles to create a powerful and unique character.
Writers can customise their offerings in the niche and style in which they produce their articles, words and appropriate images are the weapons and skills to take on the foe.
Multiplayer: Diablo IV offers both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Join forces with friends to tackle challenging dungeons and bosses, or engage in intense player-versus-player battles in dedicated PvP zones.
Cooperative? Multiplayer?
Yup, Medium has it, jump on board one of the many successful Publications with a better chance of levelling up and winning the attention and admiration of others.
Overall, Diablo IV promises an immersive and thrilling experience for fans of the series and newcomers alike, with its dark atmosphere, intense combat, and endless possibilities for character progression.
Medium, in my opinion, holds, to some degree, that same “draw”, no matter where you are with writing or what you like to read…there is something for everyone, for which I award them 4 extra Magic Node Paragons (you had to be there to get that lol).
And yes, I am playing it at the moment…the first time I have played a computer game in decades, but its diversity and fabulous fantasy world are a great way to take your mind away from “the office”.
